SWOKK is a network agency within the Stellenbosch municipal area. With over 50 member organisations, our primary focus is to build capacity and promote networking capabilities amoungst organisations and service providers in our local social development & welfare community. The SWDCC  has been operating in the Stellenbosch region for the past 20 years. In 2004 our agency was officially registered as a Non-Profit Organisation. 

Service Provider Database Development

This Website provides a Database of Social Service Providers who are active in the Stellenbosch area. You can access detailed information about organisations and institutions which deliver regular services to the Stellenbosch community.   These include: Social work services, the police, hospitals, clinics, schools, pre-schools and day-care centres, frail care providers, services for older persons and people with disabilities, skills development institutions, food security agencies and more.

The organisation's sustainability is dependent on the active participation of its members. Members meet at regular intervals to discuss issues of service delivery in the development sector. Since SWOKK does not have an office with dedicated staff, members are responsible for updating their information on the member database. Please make use of the communication functions to update the Calendar of events or to upload important information in the forum section.

From 2011, the Database PDF (hard copy) is only available to members. This can be only be accessed when you are logged in as a member. The searchable database is however available in the public domain.

Take note: This website is CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION and in process of being updated. We hope to have a fully operational database by the end of 2011. We invite all organisations in the public service sector to register as members, update their information or to renew their memberships. In the next few weeks we will have a more user-friendly registration process in place, where membership payments could be processed online.
